HE Powers of Grub-ftreet have made no small Figure in the World for these three or four Years last past ; for, if we may believe a certain Party amongst us, it is they who have held the Ballance of Europe in their Hands, and all the Miscarriages and Disappointments which have attended the wife Projects of certain Persons, have been charged to the wicked Intrigues of this Set of Men. If you will examine the Pamphlet, call'd Obfervations on the Treaty of Seville, supposed to be written by a most profound Politician; if you will look into several other Papers which come from the fame Quarter, you will find it there positively afferred, that it was the most serene Powers of Grub-ftreet, that hinder'd the King of S from accepting the Provisional Treaty; and some of them (as I am credibly inform'd) have been so bold, to declare that they are forry they were not able to hinder him Treaty of Seville likewise. from accepting of the But let that pass.
