Tonnage des bateaux qui ont remonté le fleuve pour prendre

leur chargement dans les ports intérieurs:

Un certain nombre de grands bateaux ont été obligés d'alléger
une partie de leur chargement en descendant le fleuve pour passer
par le bras de Soulina. Les quantités allégées chaque année sont
indiquées à côté du tonnage sur le tableau ci-dessus.

Il est intéressant de noter la diminution de la quantité ainsi
allégée par année, à partir de 1896, quant l'effet de la grande cou-
pure entre les 8e et 18o milliaires a commencé à se produire.
